Mother nature is starting to help Red Lake Fire 49 crews.
The area saw 14 millimetres of rain Thursday and winds weren’t as strong as anticipated.
Now a Rainfall Warning is in place for Red Lake and all of northwestern Ontario.
Rain is anticipated Friday afternoon and night, heavy at times, and could amount to 50 to 75 millimetres.
Bill Laidlaw of Signal Weather Services says more relief is expected on the weekend.
Laidlaw say day time highs will stay in the low 20’s and the air will be humid.
