The Sioux Lookout First Nations Health Authority has released more information about the positive case of COVID-19 over the weekend.
The Health Authority says the person was a health care professional who worked in the community for the past two weeks.
But because the person wore protective equipment at the time they were positive the risk is deemed low risk.
The individual did not have any contacts outside of work and has gone back to their home, outside the region, to self-isolate.
Because the person is considered to be low risk, the health unit isn’t required to trace any contacts.
As a precaution, any patients who were at the clinic from the period between July 20 to July 31 who are experiencing any symptoms should present themselves for assessment as soon as possible.
