The Northwestern Health Unit is reporting a new positive COVID-19 test result in the region.
The health unit says the result is in the Sioux Lookout region for a person whose primary residence is outside of the NWHU catchment area.
Follow-up with the person involved and their contacts has started and anyone who is identified will be contacted directly.
There are currently 2 unresolved cases in the region, one in the Rainy River region and the one just reported in the Sioux Lookout region.
The Sioux Lookout region consists of: Bearskin Lake, Cat Lake 63C, Deer Lake, Hudson, Kee-Way-Win, Lac Seul 28, MacDowell Lake, Muskrat Dam Lake, North Spirit Lake, Osnaburgh 63B, Pickle Lake, Pikangikum 14, Poplar Hill, Sachigo Lake 1, Sandy Lake 88, Sioux Lookout, Slate Falls, Weagamow Lake 87
