Rose Evelyn Dunsby
July 1, 1922 – July 18, 2020
In loving memory of (Rose) Evelyn Dunsby, who passed away peacefully on July 18, 2020.
Born on July 1, 1922, in Vienna, Ontario, Evelyn lived in Vienna for 19 years. At the age of 18, Evelyn made her choice to serve God and kept true to her promise till the end of her life. Evelyn moved to Dunnville, Ontario in 1941 and resided there until 1970. While she was employed at Monarch Knitting Mills and later at Lenmark Mills she developed a love of craft work. On December 21, 1972 she married (William) Bill Dunsby. He passed away January 2, 1976. She moved to Dryden, Ontario in 1981 and most recently relocated to Fort Frances, Ontario.
Evelyn is survived by: her step-daughter Doris (Bob) Schwoob of Dunnville, Ontario. step-son Allen Dunsby in London, Ontario, daughter-in-law Lenore in Miramichi, New Brunswick, 8 step-grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Bill Dunsby in 1976, parents Verne and Jennie Underhill, by brothers Emmerson, Harvey, Harold and Russell Underhill, sisters Cora Underhill and Edna Anderson, step-sons George and Ralph Dunsby as well as daughter-in-law Diane Dunsby.
She will be remembered by many very special friends.
A graveside funeral service will be held in the Dryden Cemetery Thursday, July 23rd at 1:00 p.m. with Louise Carlson and Amber Wilde officiating.
Assisting as pall Bearers will be: Ed Morton, Glen Jackson, Hershel Jackson, Scott Stafford, Kylie Stafford, Ty Stafford. Honorary Pall Bearers will be: Liam Stafford, Milo Stafford, and Harry Holland.
