Provincial Police in Ignace are reporting multiple charges after a police pursuit across the region.
Police in Ignace were asked to assist in locating a suspect from an incident that took place in Dryden, and at around 1:58pm on Saturday they learned the suspect was at a gas station in Ignace.
Police then say the suspect left the gas station hitting a pedestrian.
OPP say they located the suspect vehicle and tried to perform a traffic stop which the driver failed to do so after police activated their emergency lights, and the driver fled from police east bound on Highway 17.
Police say a short time later the Thunder Bay OPP located the suspect vehicle and arrested the accused.
OPP say 37-year-old Richard Ruznisky of Oshawa, Ontario has been charged with Theft Under $5000, Flight from peace officer, Dangerous operation and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000.
The accused remains in custody.
