The Dryden GM Ice Dogs will have a big hole to fill when they get back to action.
Ear Falls native Dylan Winsor has been dealt to the MJHL’s Dauphin Kings to complete a trade between the two clubs last season.
Winsor spent two years in Dryden, where he established himself as a dominant two-way forward. Over 109 SIJHL games, he put up 27 goals and 35 assists for 62 points.
Before making the jump to junior, Winsor played 50 games for the U-18 ‘AAA’ Kenora Thistles. During that time, he scored 20 goals and added 30 assists while wracking up 96 penalty minutes.
Winsor won’t be the only Thistles alumnus on the Kings this season, as he’ll be playing alongside Kenora’s Kadin Ilott and Keewatin’s Bryson McDonald.
