Premier Doug Ford isn’t saying when the government will move to Stage 3 of reopening the Ontario economy.
Health officials are reporting 111 new COVID-19 cases Friday, the lowest number of new cases recorded since March 25th.
More than 30,000 tests were conducted.
Ford says moving forward will be based on the health and science facts but stated he can’t give an exact time.
“We’re going to take a cautious approach. We’re going to rely on all the Chief Medical Officers, all 34 of them across the province. And I’m sure that we will be doing the same staged approach. It’s all about making sure we have good communications with all the Chief Medical Officers.”
Ford adds “Being cautious and everyone following the protocol, which they have, and I’m just so proud of the people of Ontario. Versus the reckless approach, in my opinion, south of the border. That everyone just goes hog wild and don’t worry about anything. Well that’s come back to bite them.”
The State of Florida is reporting 8,942 new confirmed cases Friday.
