The Ontario government has extended an emergency order until June 30th.
The announcement was made early Wednesday morning.
A provincial emergency was first declared March 17th.
Public and private gatherings will remain capped at 10 and bars and restaurants won’t be able to open for indoor service.
Premier Doug Ford says even though we are seeing a decline in infection rates and increased testing, we can’t let our guard down just yet.
While current emergency orders will remain in place until the end of the month, the government says it will continue to review each region on a case-by-case basis to determine when and if they can safely be adjusted or lifted, as part of the province’s reopening plan.
