Parts of southern Ontario will be allowed to start reopening their economy on Friday.
The government has allowed seven more regions to enter Stage 2.
They include:
-Durham Region Health Department;
-Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit;
-Halton Region Health Department;
-Hamilton Public Health Services;
-Lambton Health Unit;
-Niagara Region Public Health Department; and
-York Region Public Health Services.
The Toronto, Windsor and Peel regions will still have to wait and no timeline has been given.
Northwestern Ontario opened to Stage 2 on Friday.
Premier Doug Ford says the province confirmed 181 new cases of COVID-19 Monday morning, the lowest number of new cases since March 28th when 151 cases were reported.
Ford says while our cases continue to trend downward, our testing numbers are climbing. Here in Ontario we’ve processed over one million tests since the start of this outbreak.
