The Northwestern Health Unit is reporting 2 new COVID-19 cases in the Kenora area.
Officials say follow-up is underway with the individuals and their contacts.
That brings the total number of positive cases in the catchment area to 27, however 3 cases have a primary home outside of the area.
22 cases are considered resolved.
4,976 tests have come back negative, while health officials are awaiting the results of 714 others.
The Health Unit reminds the public that testing has been expanded to reach more people.

UPDATE: The NWHU is now advising people who have shopped at Walmart and No Frills in Kenora between 2pm and 4pm on Thursday June 4th have a very small chance that they may have been exposed to COVID-19.
People who have been in those stores at those times are asked to monitor symptoms and decide whether you want to be tested.
Based on the assessment the health unit does not believe there is a significant risk to shoppers as the physical distancing and infection control in both stores helps keep that risk low.
