Sioux Lookout Provincial Police are reporting drug trafficking charges in the municipality.
Police say on Thursday afternoon they responded to a report of unwanted parties at a local hotel.
Police then say the investigation led to the arrest of two people and the seizure of multiple illicit substances including cocaine, methamphetamine, morphine, suboxone, gabapetin, methylphenidate, and hydromorphone with a total street value of over $25,000.
OPP say as a result of investigations 34-year-old Helen Mekanak and 28-year-old Tommy Tait both from Sachigo Lake First Nation have been charged with eight counts of Possession of a Substance and eight counts of Possession of a Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking.
Both of the accused are in custody pending bail hearings.
