Nurses at the Dryden Regional Health Centre are helping others in the community.
As a part of National Nursing Week, the nurses have made a $1,000 to the Hoshizaki House.
Registered Nurse Angie Barr says they make a donation to a worthy group each year and they believed the Hoshizaki House could use the funds to help vulnerable people.
Barr says each nurse takes a couple of dollars off their pay cheque throughout the year and that’s why they are able to provide the support.
The President of the local Bargaining unit for the Ontario Nurses Association notes this is just one thing they are doing to help boost the spirits of others.
“Paying it forward to those that we work with, being our support staff in the hospital, which we did so yesterday through some gift treats and baskets.”
