Small and medium-sized businesses across Northern Ontario unable to access existing COVID-19 relief measures can now apply for funding under a new program.
FedNor has launched its Regional Relief and Recovery Fund to support local economies.
A total of $49.5-million is being made available.
The Fund is being delivered through Regional Development Agencies to help more businesses and organizations in sectors such as manufacturing, technology, tourism and other areas.
Terry Sheehan is a parliamentary secretary for FedNor and he says the money will support a broad range of projects that will help the region overcome the significant hardship brought on by the coronavirus and rebuild our economy for the long-term.
