All eyes will be on the Premier on Thursday as Doug Ford has teased several big announcements will be made that day.
Ford says he plans to unveil a list of businesses that will be allowed to reopen.
“More good news about getting people back to work. More good news about opening workplaces, getting paychecks out the door. More good news about slowing getting back to normal. On Thursday we will share more details on the next stage of reopening our province.”
Ford notes “It will be stage one of three stages. That’s very important that the people of Ontario all follow the protocols and we’ve hit stage one on Thursday.”
A decision on whether or not to allow ten people in a public gathering will be made by the province’s top doctor but the Premier says it’s something they are looking into.
Meantime, Ford has extended the State of Emergency until June 2nd.
Ford says this extension will help enforce important public health measures.
