A number of businesses will be allowed to open today (Monday) in Ontario.
Labour Minister Monte McNaughton says it’s the first phase of reopening the province’s economy.
“A wider array of the construction industry will open. Lawn care and landscaping. Garden Centres and Nurseries for curbside pick-up. Marinas and golf courses can begin getting the prep work done in order to open for customers.”
Car dealerships will be able to meet with customers and allow test drives through appointment only.
McNaughton couldn’t say when the second phase will take place.
McNaughton stresses those who are opening up again must still follow strict health regulations.
He says the government released 65 industry and business health and safety guidelines “in order to keep workers healthy and safe and to ensure that customers feel confident going in businesses.”
