The federal government is trying to help ease the stress on overworked health care personnel.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says Health Canada is recruiting specialized volunteers to support health care workers.
Trudeau says provinces and territories will be able to access an online inventory to boost services.
He notes the help could include collecting and reporting data as well as tracking cases and tracing contacts.
Additionally, the government is offering full time jobs to all reservists in Canadian forces.
Trudeau says “We are contacting reservists across the country to see if they are interested and offering them the same pay and benefits as regular force personnel for the coming months.”
