With more and more Canadians now returning from a week out of the country, the message of social distancing appears to have been lost.
Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. David Williams suggests many coming back here just do not get it.
He points some are asking about the practice saying that where they came from social distancing is not happening. However, Williams notes it is something that has evolved in Canada.
“So for those who are coming back these are new days, these are new rules it’s new situation we have not faced before and you need to take it seriously because the people here in Ontario have been taking it seriously,” says Dr. Williams.
The latest figures show there are 78 new COVID cases in the province bringing the total number of 503.
