A pretty wild call for the Dryden Police Service.
Constable Logan Randell and Special Constable Cody Fedorchuk assisted today in rescuing a majestic Bald Eagle after it appeared to have suffered an injury or was in some sort of distress on Highway 17 near Airport Road.
The bird accompanied the officers in their cruiser and was quickly transported to a Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry conservation officer.
It was determined after an examination that the Eagle was healthy.
Once the Eagle’s condition improved the police and the MNRF released the bird back into the wild.
