The Parliament of Canada has taken the rare step of suspending its sitting.
MP’s have agreed to adjourn until April 20th in a cross-party agreement due to concerns over COVID-19.
Kenora’s Eric Melillo says he will be cutting down on public events and doing as much business over the phone as possible.
Melillo notes his office staff in Ottawa and in the constituency will still be available to assist the public.
However, he states his team will be taking meetings by appointment only.
The Conservative member is urging everyone to follow precautions recommended by Health Canada in order to stay healthy and safe.
