A case of COVID-19 has been confirmed in Northern Ontario in a man from the Sudbury area.
The Northwestern Health Unit says the man attended the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada 2020 Convention in Toronto from March 1st to 4th.
The NWHU advises any residents who went to the conference to self-monitor for fever and cough until two weeks after leaving the event.
The Health Unit also says anyone who attended the convention and does develop a fever and cough are asked to self-isolate and call the health unit.
For health advice you are asked to contact your primary health care provider or Telehealth Ontario at 1-866-797-0000 and people who remain well do not need testing and are asked not to seek medical care.
