Canadians are getting advice to prepare against the COVID-19 virus as it slowly spreads around the world.
Health Minister Patty Hajdu says there are various steps you can take to prepare for any potential crisis.
“There’s no magic to this. It’s really about making sure that you do have enough supplies. If someone in your family becomes ill, if you, yourself become ill, that you have what you need to survive for a week or so without going out.”
Hajdu says that includes ensuring all your prescriptions are up-to-date and filled.

There have been 14 cases of COVID-19 diagnosed in Canada; seven in Ontario and seven in British Columbia.
