It has already been featured on numerous magazine covers and now it’s the envy of the entire world.
The 1929 restored Ford Roadster owned by Dryden’s Kevin Smith has been voted 2019 Street Rod of the Year by members of the Minnesota Street Rod Association.
The organization has almost 30,000 members from around the world and hosts one of the largest car shows in the United States.
Every June, the Back to the 50’s show sees nearly 12,000 classic cars registered and this year Smith’s car will be one of the big attractions and printed on tens of thousands of mugs and shirts.
The roadster was made out of rescued remnants of an original Model A hot rod built in 1959 by mentor Wayne Clarkson.
Smith bought the car in 2005 and restored it to the shape that it’s in today.
