Our area is heading into the proverbial ‘icebox’ overnight.
Environment Canada has issued “Exteme Cold” warnings for Red Lake, Ear Falls and Sioux Lookout where windchills will be -40 and colder tonight. Dryden and Ignace are not under formal warnings, bu could see windchills of -37.
Forecasters say the cold temperatures will moderate during the day, but are expected again Friday night and into Saturday morning.
With such cold temperatures expected, remember to plug your vehicles in tonight – and bring your pets indoors please.
