The event has been running for a few days, but the official opening ceremony for the Little Bands Native Youth Hockey Tournament took place yesterday.
The puck was dropped by Dryden Mayor Greg Wilson and also had multiple City staff and Councillors in attendance as well as Machin Mayor Gord Griffifths.
Event Coordinator Ziggy Beardy says it is an exciting event every year, especially for the kids.
Beardy also says it is great to see how large the tournament is and how much it keeps growing.
He also says that he is thankful to the City of Dryden and the people for accepting them and they look forward to coming again next year.
