With students at most Elementary Schools in our area at home for two straight days this week, the Elementary Teachers Federation says services will be withdrawn for two more days next week.
This week, teachers were on the picket lines at Keewatin Patricia District School Board Elementary Schools on Wednesday, then joined in a Province-wide strike on Thursday.
At the same time, local teachers have advised the Public School Board that they will taking strike action next Tuesday and Thursday at all KPDSB Elementary Schools. This means students will be off school every second day next week.
Yesterday, teachers picketed the Government Service Building in Dryden and were joined by members of the Ontario Public Service Employees Union in a show of support.
