Reading Is A Super Power!!

Ohhhhhhhh what fun Thursday at lunchtime!!
It’s Literacy Week at area schools. I was invited to do a surprise appearance at Open Roads School in Dryden for their ‘Popcorn, PJ’s and Penlights’ event where students wear their pajamas, turn out the lights and all stop, drop and read at the same time while enjoying some popcorn. What a great idea…right!? Well I could have showed up to read to the students as a normal radio guy but how much fun would that be?! Enter……Spider-Dad McCarthy​!! 🕸🕷🙂
Surprised the students! Read to them from one of my favourite webslinging books. We sang one of our favourite songs. (Play the videos)
And had some popcorn. Ok I skipped the popcorn….a little difficult to consume through the faceshell and mask! 😳🕷🕸
Reading is a Super Power!! Read to yourself. Read outloud. Read with others. Share your Super Power with others!
