Thief River Falls captain Bryce Johnson has been named SIJHL/Play It Again Sports Player of the Week.
The 19-year-old racked up six points in three wins this past week.
The highlight for Johnson was a three goal effort, including the game winner, Saturday against Fort Frances in front of 3,049 fans at the Ralph Engelstad Arena.
Johnson has a dozen multi-point performances so far this season and sits third overall in league scoring.
He leads the Norskies in offensive production with 45 points in 36 games.
The forward from Roseau, Minnesota is nine games shy of 100 in his time in the league and needs just five points to reach the century mark.
Dryden’s Xavier Halterman, Red Lake’s Jordan Baranesky and Sioux Lookout’s Seth McKay of the Thunder Bay North Stars also received consideration.
