Communities in the Kenora district are among those to share $200-million in provincial funding for infrastructure upgrades.
Premier Doug Ford says the money will help 424 small, rural and northern communities build and repair roads, bridges, water and waste water systems.
Ford says “Ontario’s economy is thriving, but we must ensure every person and every region across the province can share in this prosperity.”
Infrastructure Minister Laurie Scott says the investment is key in keeping municipalities healthy and safe.
Scott notes the “announcement provides the predictable and stable infrastructure funding small, rural and northern municipalities have requested.”
