A ‘Snowfall Warning’ now covers the entire area stretching from Winnipeg to Thunder Bay with Dryden right in the middle of it.
At 8 pm, Doppler Radar showed a slow moving system tracking north-east across the Dryden district.
Environment Canada says Snow will become heavy at times overnight as a low pressure system approaches. The snow will continue through the day Saturday before tapering off to flurries Saturday night. Total snowfall amounts of at least 15 cm are expected in Dryden with Winnipeg expecting up to 20 cm and Thunder Bay up to 25 cm
Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
Road conditions are expected to deteriorate as the snow moves through the area.
