A sudden death is currently under investigation in Lac Seul First Nation by Lac Seul Police and Provincial Police.
Police say the death occurred at a residence on Thursday.
Officers say the deceased has been identified as 35-year-old Michael Sawanas of Sandy Lake First Nation.
Sioux Lookout OPP in conjunction with the OPP North West Region Crime Unit under the direction of Acting Detective Inspector Karl Duewel OPP Criminal Investigation Branch are investigating the circumstances around the death.
Police say there is no concern for public safety at this time.
