The newly minted MP for Kenora is reflecting on his first month on Parliament Hill.
Eric Melillo says he’s been hard at work with his Conservative team as well as some members from across the aisle to move forward with matters important to northwestern Ontario.
Some of those matters include support for forestry, mining and moving forward on implementing more supports for First Nation communities in the region as well.
He also says their caucus are lobbying to reverse the current government’s cuts to military health care, sensible market-based climate plan and standing up for law-abiding firearm owners.
Melillo has been visiting area communities since his return from Ottawa, listening to concerns from constituents and local leaders.
