The province is spending $2.4-million to help keep impaired drivers off the road.
The investment supports the “Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere” grant, which the government says will help 172 police forces across Ontario.
Solicitor General Sylvia Jones points out impaired driving continues to be the leading criminal cause of death and injury in Canada.
She says the money will help police do regular road-side checks and continue with education campaigns needed to detect impaired drivers.
