An Ontario Health Team has been awarded to the Kenora area.
The All-Nation Health Partners has been named as one of 24 Teams across the province.
Henry Wall is the co-chair and he says its a partnership between 15 local agencies.
The Ontario Health Teams are designed to end hallway medicine, but locally, are to offer health care services closer to home.
Wall stresses it will be a coordinated effort and will group all health care services together, including mental health.
He adds “We are doing this work without being told to do so. In terms of coming together. Recognizing that when it comes to health. When it comes to supporting families, seniors and individuals in all of our communities that the system needs to change.”
