The Dryden GM Ice Dogs scored two shorthanded goals, for their league leading fifth and sixth of the year, and didn’t look back in a 6-2 victory over Wisconsin Wednesday night.
Xavier Halterman and Justin Pitari scored late in the first while Kendall Schulz was serving a double minor.
Pitari would later add another marker, while Nolan Marshall, Gavyn Galloway and Josh Weber would also find the back of the net.
Knute Loe was outstanding in his SIJHL debut making 33-saves, including several critical stops in the second during a prolonged power play.
Dryden GM is now two points behind third place Red Lake and two ahead of Fort Frances.
The Lakers outscored Thief River Falls 6-4 last night at the Ralph Engelstad Arena.
