Sorting out how bus transportation service across northern Ontario will be provided continues to be watched by Kasper Transportation.
Owner Kasper Wabinski says he’s been talking to Northern Development Minister Greg Rickford but also with the provincially run Ontario Northland bus service.
“Trying to be on good terms and work together on filling the need to the standards and expectations that customers have. It’s still in the process of being established.”
Wabinski says Rickford personally told him the government agrees the region needs a sustainable bus service.
“Obviously that’s not always a simple thing to do with the government trying to reduce the deficit and it may be frustrating, the whole process of going through the hoops with the government.”
However, Wabinski believes the government has the right people involved to help achieve his vision of providing service.
