Habitat for Humanity is now here in Dryden with the formation of a local chapter.
The movement can be found in many parts of the world and focuses on building safe, decent and affordable housing for families in need.
Dryden Chapter Chair Sally Sipos says “the next steps will be finding a site to do our build on and to do a family selection. We will sending out information on how people can apply to be selected to be a recipient.”
Sipos says they have set the date of May 2021 to do their first build.
She stresses it will be an all-hands on deck type of project.
The homes aren’t free, but Sipos notes families who are selected pay off the house with flexible plans from Habitat for Humanity and not the bank.
