Provincial Police have arrested two people following a drug bust in Kenora on Thursday.
Officers conducted a routine traffic stop and upon speaking to the diver, an investigation led to the arrest and search of the vehicle.
OPP seized 44 grams of methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia.
The street value of the drugs is roughly $12,000.
Officers also found a firearm and other weapons.
OPP say 29-year-old Kevin Wetendorf of Kenora faces charges including:
-Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm, Section 91(1) Criminal Code (CC)
-Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Section 92(1) CC
-Possession of Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm, Section 95 (a) CC
-Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, Section 88 CC
-Careless Storage of a Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition, Section 86 (1) CC
-Possession of a Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order x 2 , Section 117.01 CC
-Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking- Other Drugs, Section 5(2) CDSA
18-year-old Leigha Nault faces charges including:
-Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm, Section 91(1) CC
-Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm, Section 92(1) CC
-Possession of Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm, Section 95(a)
-Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, Section 88 CC
-Careless Storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition, Section 86(1) CC
