Dryden’s Meals on Wheels program is always on the lookout for more volunteers.
That was the focus of a presentation to the Dryden Rotary Club on Wednesday as officials provided an update on local services and needs.
Spokesperson Colleen Hill says extra help is needed right now.
“We have so many clients, so many senior clients who need that service of a hot meal to be delivered to them so that they can live in their homes.”
Hill notes the program is run out of the hospital and is a great way for a senior to still get food while being able to stay at home.
Hill stresses it’s a rewarding experience as the volunteer is able to spend some time and help the client.
“Notice any changes or if there’s a need for a client to be in contact with someone else for help, that volunteer would be there to assist that senior.”
