The Keewatin Patricia District School Board is recognizing Treaties Recognition Week.
Equity and Inclusion Administrator Jen McMaster a week full of activities start today (Monday) at 10:00am at Sioux North High School.
The event is being co-hosted by the High School and Sioux Mountain School.
McMaster is also the Vice-Principal at Sioux North and she says opening ceremonies will include speakers and teachings from local leaders.
McMaster notes it will also include drumming on the schools’ drums and a Living Library presentation by Robert Green.
There will be a traditional feast at both schools at lunch, followed by an afternoon of traditional activities.
