An informative walk about palliative care and grief will be taking place tomorrow morning. (Saturday, October 26th)
It’s called “The Palliative Care and Bereavement Honour Walk” and it will be starting at the back end of the Dryden Memorial Arena parking lot at 10:00am.
The short walk will go down to Skene’s Landing where words will be shared and then will head back to the arena from Earl Avenue.
Spokesperson Leah Habinski says “The intent of the event is to get community members together first to just raise awareness about palliative care and the needs in our community and make sure that people feel supported as well”.
Habinski adds “Everybody knows that when you are suffering a loss, wherever you are in your grief, that you do have support, we are here to support you.”
Anyone from the community is urged to participate.
