There’s a new face in Ottawa for the Thunder Bay-Rainy River riding.
Liberal Marcus Powlowski unofficially earned 35.4% of the vote during the Federal election.
The seat was originally held by another Liberal, Don Rusnak, who decided not to seek re-election.
An exhausted Powlowski is calling his victory a great experience.
“It’s been great, it’s been wonderful, it’s been totally enjoyable and I’m happy that I’m not through yet. The journey goes on!”
He says one of his top priorities is working with the union at Bombardier to get jobs back at the Thunder Bay plant.
Powlowski says Unifor has been there for him and they will be a priority for him moving forward.
