The Municipality of Machin is on the receiving end of $7,000 for transit and road upgrades.
Kenora-Rainy River MPP Greg Rickford made the announcement on Monday, noting the province nominated the community under the Canada Infrastructure Program.
The projects are now with the federal government for a final funding decision.
Rickford says his government is working closely with their municipal partners to support community infrastructure that will improve the lives of families and small business.
Rickford adds he’s hopeful the feds move quickly to approve the funding so Machin can get moving on important projects.
