The NDP finally has a candidate in the Kenora Riding.
Rudy Turtle, chief of the Grassy Narrows First Nation, has been named the New Democrat candidate by leader Jagmeet Singh.
Turtle will be challenging Liberal incumbent Bob Nault and Conservative Eric Melillo.
He says for too long the government of Canada has forgotten his community and have failed to deliver on their promises and he wants to bring a positive change.
Turtle says he’s not only running for Grassy Narrows, but all communities that have water problems in the riding.
He also says the NDP has been a strong voice for his community with members like Niki Ashton and Charlie Angus.
Turtle and the NDP leader Jagmeet Singh will be in Kenora on Wednesday afternoon following a visit to Thunder Bay on Tuesday.
