Dryden City Council has approved parking changes due to safety concerns.
Parking is now banned on the north side of St. Charles Street.
The change impacts a 33-metre stretch between Van Horne Avenue and Whyte Avenue.
A staff report indicates the Dryden Fire Service needs to use a laneway that runs south from St. Charles when responding to an emergency.
However, it becomes an issue when vehicles are parked on the north side of the road and it becomes too difficult to navigate fire trucks through the area.
