The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is advising the public that due to forest fire activity in the Red Lake area, an Implementation Order is in effect that restricts access and use of certain roads and Crown lands.
All travel and use of the following roads are restricted: Coli Road, Sidace Road, Bandit Road, Rita Lake Road and North Road.
Travel Permits are required for travel into the restricted areas.
Nungesser road through Fire #40 is now open to public travel.
The public is reminded to use caution while travelling on Nungesser road to be aware of fire fighters and the potential for falling trees.
NOTAM is in place for all forest fires, and restricts air travel within 5 nautical miles of any forest fire.
