Labour Minister Patty Hajdu calls Ontario Premier Doug Ford’s recent comments around public transit projects misleading and deceptive.
Last week, Ford stated the federal government hasn’t been in contact with him about funding public transit projects that could potentially help Thunder Bay’s Bombardier plant.
Hajdu disagrees noting “What has happened is a series of conversations between the Infrastructure department at the Federal level and his Infrastructure Minister. A request for more detailed information has been made a number of times. This is $8.4-billion. Of course there needs to be a plan in place.
The Thunder Bay-Superior North MP adds her government is awaiting those detailed plans from the province and looks forward to working on them together.
