The Ford Government is making it easier for businesses in the north to attract top talent and skilled workers from around the world.
The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program has been improved to support entrepreneurship and address labour shortages in our region.
It will allow for improved access for permanent residence to fill talent gaps and support economic growth.
New occupations have been added to the program’s In-Demand Skills Stream to include truck drivers and personal support workers.
The changes will also make it easier for people outside Canada to start or buy an existing business in Ontario.
