James “Jim” Lever
December 24, 1933 – April 27, 2019
In loving memory of James “Jim” Lever who passed away on April 27, 2019 in Dryden. Born on December 24, 1933 at the Dryden Red Cross Hospital to George Edward and Dorothy Elizabeth Lever.
Jim was predeceased by his parents, infant brother George Andrew, sister Ella Bernice, brothers William “Bill” Edward, George Frederick, Herbert “Herb” Arthur and Roy Albert, sons Robert “Bob” Edward and James Edger “Eddie”, daughter Leola “Lee” Mary Brock and ex-wife Leola “May” Lever.
He is survived by sisters Tessa Smith, Mary Albisser and Ruth (Ray) Wilson, daughters Debora “Debbie” (Dan) Fediuk and Bonnie (Doug) Fediuk, sons Alfred “Fred” (Loreena) Lever and Gregory “Greg” (Alice) Lever, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Jim was educated by Home School as well as a period of time in a one room school on Wabigoon River Road. He finished school at a young age and went to work to help with younger siblings after the death of his father. He married at 18 years of age to Leola “May” Hatfield and raised a family of seven children. Jim was greatly loved by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren near and far.
He had a fondness for wildlife photography, fishing, camping and travelling down country roads for hours every day stopping at favourite resting spots along the way. Often friends and relatives would see him parked in various locations in and around the Dryden area and stop for a short chat or visit. Jim also loved history, old machinery antiques and poetry of which one of his favourites was;

I cremated Sam McGee
There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 1 p.m. at the Dryden Cemetery with Pastor Nikolas Amodeo officiating.
Interment will follow.
