It could be the start of a bright future for a former Dryden resident.
Alyssa Levesque has won her first ever amateur fight in Mixed Martial Arts.
In Cambelton, New Brunswick, Levesque went all three rounds with her opponent.
She won in an unanimous judges decision.
Levesque says this is just the beginning of her MMA career.

“She would also like to thank her family and friends for all the amazing support and love. A big thank you to mom and dad (Michelle and Jeff Levesque) for always being there and fully supporting her decisions in every way and helping with all the training, diets and fundraising.”
