An evacuation order and state of emergency has been declared again in Pikangikum First Nation.
A 40,439 hectare fire is burning about six kilometres southwest of the community on the opposite side of the lake.
Sprinklers are being setup to help protect property.
Right now, the elderly, pregnant women, people with respiratory problems and their immediate families are being flown out to Kapuskasing and Hearst.
Other residents are being asked to register at the community school and are being told to go to Thunder Bay.
Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale says the military would help to evacuate the First Nation.
The Department of National Defence says 20 Army Rangers and a Hercules helicopter have been assigned to assist.
